Quake 3 Arena ROCKET JUMP?

How to do it?
- you have 2 possibilities - LEARN it, or put the RJ SCRIPT into your Q3A config


1) the script:bind mouse3 "cl_yawspeed 22501;+left;+moveup;+attack;wait 2;-left;-moveup;-attack;+left;wait 2;-left;cl_yawspeed 140"
(only for llamas like the one on the right side of this site)
-disadvantage: you cannot controll the height of the jump

2) how to learn it
I do it the way i run to the point on the training map, i turn about 180 degrees and then jump. Immediatelly after jumping, i click "fire button" and shoot the rocket. (turning is only the thing that helps me navigate the jumping, but it is not necessary!) But im not very skilled jumper, so watch the movie under this text. It shows the whol RJ map even with the secret. Look how its done.

Where to train it?
On QUAKELIVE  you can train it on the practice RJ map. Go to "Practice", "Training center" and then "Elevate: Reaching Great Heights" Where is it exactly you can see on the picture.

1) you can choose the arena according you skill (you show your skill in training with CRASH) (picture)

2) you can choose from different types of the game
    •  Free for all = classic Deathmatch - you play against all players on the map
    •  CTF = Capture the flag - Team play - you have to capture the flag of the neemy team, that is placed ont their resp and bring it to you resp. Simultaneosly you defend your flag. Without your flag on the resp, you cannot score with the enemy flag.
    •  Team DM = You play in one team with other players against another team
    •  Clan Arena = this map is private
    •  InstaGIB = Deathmatch only with RAILGUN
    •  InstaCTF = Capture the flag only with railgun
3) you can have more bots than in normal quake - Janet, James, enhanced others (picture)4) you can simply adjust every aspect of your game - examples - every enemy will have bright green fat model - better to shoot and see, lower visual efects - better sight, ...

Episode 8:  The Amulet

EN:

Doom puts Rangers Quake 1 Amulet to the test in Quarantine.

CZ:

Poté, co byl přerušen zápas mezi Xaerem a Doomem, Doom se přemístí za Sargem, Rangerem a Gruntem. Dozvídá se, že se Xaero může během zápasu kdykoliv teleportovat. Všichni tři Doomovi přátele jsou z nižších Tierů (odkaz) a nemohou se Xaerovi rovnat. Ranger však má amulet ještě ze svého působiště, hry Quake 1 (screenshot), který mu umožňuje rychlou teleportaci. Věnuje ho Doomovi, aby nebyl při boji s Xaerem znevýhodněn. Zároveň se dozvídáme, že Grunt od svého příchodu do arén ani jednou nepromluvil. Pak podstoupí Doom svůj první zápas TDM v aréně Quarantine v týmu s Mynx, první ženou z arény, co poznal, proti Rangerovi a Sargovi. Při boji zkouší vlastnosti amuletu. Po zápase se Doom dozvídá, že jeho další soupeř nebude Xaero, ale Visor s novými vylepšeními.

Episode 5:  DeFrag

Doom is introduced to Xaero, and must complete his first round of DeFrag trials as he takes on the Iilgah Map.

Doom je konfrontován s Xaerem, nejlepším gladiátorem ze všech a dozvídá se, že když souboj s ním prohraje, jeho smrt bude definitivní. Zároveň podstupuje svou první zkoušku - zkoušku rychlosti v Defrag Aréně. Doom ji zvládne udělat napoprvé (Xaero až napodruhé?) 

Xaero

- No warrior of the Arenas Eternal is more sure or more deadly than Xaero. Death and destruction is his mantra and through aeons of victories throughout the Arenas, he has become one with their echoing halls. Still awaiting the lesson of humility, Xaero will only ascend to the rank of Chosen, finding death match Nirvana when and if he finds someone worthy enough to vanquish him.

Episode 3:  Warriors of Slipgate - Part 1

Ranger and the un-dead Grunts of Chython went head to head with nail guns and axes.  The Vadrigar seemed to think both were worthy of a gladiator position.  Grunt with an un-well mind that has left him more animal than man, and Ranger... well we all know our hero.

Descended from that dreaded and feared military leader fought and defeated during the Stroggos Wars, this machine of war possesses an innate desire to crush all foes beneath his metal-shod heel.

Crash

- Formerly Doom's military instructor, Crash is your introduction to the world of Quake III: Arena. She appears on the introduction map and is a fairly low-skilled bot. She'll give you a taste of the DM experience, mostly by being a target. Though she'll go for the plasma gun, if you can get this away from her, you've got her beat. Alternatively, just grab the shotgun; because she's the lowest bot in terms of skill, you should be able to knock her out with only a couple of shots if you can get close enough.

Bones

- Bones plays a defensive game; probably a wise choice given that he hasn't got much there to frag, you know? On q3dm16, he will invariably go for the shotgun, completely ignoring the rocket launcher. When he does occasionally pick it up, he uses it only to rocket jump before switching back to the boomstick. His strategy is to lurk around corners and hit you while running away, and it's surprisingly effective because he dodges behind walls so well. He also runs for health every chance he gets, continually keeping him charged up. Our recommendation? Use the rocket launcher for distance kills; if he gets anywhere near you with the shotgun, you're just as much of a corpse as he is.

- The eerily bipedal eyeball, Orbb first entered the battleground between worlds as an uninvolved observer, constructed by the Arena Masters to watch and record the battles. The trail of carnage it leaves behind is not.

- A scumbag of the first order that would not only see her grandmother, but volunteer to do the vivisection first, she's always looking for some way to get an unfair advantage. This Sorg Clan reptiloid merchant mercenary never let sentimentality about lesser species get in the way of business. In the Arenas, her business is simply showing no mercy and gibbing her opponents.

- "Yekki-kampt-nikka-klesk-ki-kampt-pikka" means "people of one mind" in this chitinid's chittering tongue. But this being no longer touches the one mind. New voices speak to it, telling it that once it stills the churning minds that clutter the psychic plane around it, it will become the progenitor of a new and powerful people.

- Crisp, authoritative and professional. She is a near-humorless, no-nonsense military officer. Wearing battle scars that ravage her face like the medals of conflict she once coveted, she adamantly refuses any and all implants. Although fully human, she hides her emotions better than many machines.


Daemia

- Daemia's tough, cynical and youthfully brash. Ex-military, her combat skills make her a formidable opponent but she doesn't take commands very well. She could easily be a female version of the 'hard-bitten male detective' type character. She's Boba Fett and Philip Marlowe rolled into one.

A bit slow-witted and full of hostility, kind words are few and far between with this guy. If Biker had any charm, he beat it out of himself long ago.
